Aston Martin has named AQUAME its exclusive water bottle supplier for the 2026 Formula 1 season, in a deal built around real-time hydration tracking that the team is positioning as a performance tool rather than a simple branding exercise.
At the center of the partnership is AQUAME’s app-linked hydration technology, which will monitor water intake in real time and provide personalized hydration insights for users across the team. Aston Martin said the aim is to help maintain optimal hydration through the season, with the broader target of supporting recovery and concentration in one of motorsport’s most physically and mentally demanding environments.
That makes the significance of the announcement less about a new consumer product tie-in and more about the kind of marginal-gain thinking that runs through modern Formula 1. The team framed the collaboration around condition management, treating hydration as part of day-to-day performance for personnel operating in a high-pressure setting where focus and physical readiness matter.
The commercial side of the agreement is still part of the package. AQUAME will supply five different water-bottle designs, with Aston Martin presenting the range as a collection that blends premium design with practical smart features. The emphasis, though, is that these bottles are intended to do more than carry team branding, with the tracking system giving the partnership a direct performance angle.
Matthew Chapman, Aston Martin’s head of licencing and merchandise, said the collaboration combines “innovative hydration technology with Aston Martin's signature style.” He added: “Hydration is key to recovery and focus, so the collection has been designed to seamlessly fit into everyday life, combining premium aesthetics with smart, practical features.”
Those comments underline the team’s attempt to connect merchandising, technology and performance support in one program. In Formula 1, where preparation extends well beyond the car itself, monitoring something as basic as water intake can be presented as part of the same wider effort to keep drivers and staff operating at their best over a long season.
For AQUAME, the Aston Martin agreement is also a statement of credibility. Founder Steve Aidun Xie described the partnership as a “major milestone” and said it brings the company’s technology to “the pinnacle of motorsport.” In that sense, the deal gives Aston Martin another data-led support system for 2026 while offering AQUAME validation for its product in elite competition.
