F1 extends Las Vegas Grand Prix deal to 2037

Formula 1 has agreed a 10-year extension for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, securing the race on the calendar through 2037 after the event quickly became a major commercial and economic success following its 2023 debut.

Formula One Management said it reached the agreement with Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., Clark County and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, extending a deal that had previously been due to run through 2027. The move locks in one of F1’s most important U.S. events for another decade.

That decision has been driven by the scale of the event’s impact. Across its first three editions from 2023 to 2025, the Las Vegas Grand Prix generated $3.2 billion in cumulative economic impact for Southern Nevada, with all three races selling out. The 2025 race alone produced $43 million in state and local tax revenue.

The growth is especially significant because Formula 1 had to convince the city to back a race running down the Strip in front of major casino hotels, and one key factor was its willingness to invest its own money in the project. The event has since transformed the weekend before Thanksgiving, previously described as Las Vegas’s least profitable weekend of the year, into one of its most lucrative.

Formula 1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali said the race had “rapidly establish[ed] itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers.” He added that “this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market.”

For F1, the extension is about more than keeping a popular race on the schedule. It gives organizers long-term stability to keep investing in the event, its facilities and the fan experience, while reinforcing Las Vegas as a cornerstone of the championship’s presence in the United States.
