Verstappen Tops F1 25 Ratings as Antonelli Debate Grows

Codemasters has put Max Verstappen back on top of the official F1 game’s driver ratings for the 2026 Season Pack, but the number drawing the most scrutiny is Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s 83 despite the Mercedes driver being described in the source material as the championship leader and a winner of the last four grands prix.

Verstappen leads the new rankings on 95 overall, ahead of Lando Norris on 94, George Russell on 93 and Charles Leclerc on 92. The scores are built from four categories: Experience, Racecraft, Awareness and Pace.

Antonelli’s rating leaves him tied with Oliver Bearman and Isack Hadjar on 83. It also places him behind Pierre Gasly and Valtteri Bottas, both on 84, even though one of the source summaries says Antonelli leads the standings by 43 points after a four-race winning run.

That gap has quickly become the standout talking point in Codemasters’ latest update, because Antonelli’s in-game number appears conservative relative to the form described in the same set of source reports. One summary points to his Experience score of 70 as part of the explanation, but the overall result still leaves the championship leader in the middle of the pack rather than among the front-runners.

The ratings were released as part of the F1 25 2026 Season Pack rather than a standalone annual title, the first time since Codemasters took over the franchise in 2009 that a new season has arrived as an add-on to the existing game instead of a dedicated new release.

There were major changes elsewhere in the grid. Isack Hadjar recorded the biggest gain of any driver, up 15 points to 83, while Antonelli climbed 11 points to the same mark. Oscar Piastri gained four points, Russell improved by three, and Carlos Sainz was the biggest faller, dropping four points to 86.

Because this is a live-season update rather than a one-off boxed release, the focus now shifts to whether Codemasters adjusts Antonelli’s rating again as the 2026 campaign develops. One source summary says a further mid-season update is likely, which would give the studio a chance to bring the game’s numbers closer to the championship picture.
