Alpine will be supplied at Silverstone this weekend by Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, with the team formalizing a local partnership ahead of the British Grand Prix.
The Enstone-based team said the farm, which is six miles from its factory, will provide a range of locally sourced food, produce, condiments and beverages across the event. Alpine added that drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will eat “some authentic British dishes” during the weekend.
The agreement turns a loose connection into an official tie-up. Clarkson had previously sent crates of Hawkstone beer from Diddly Squat to celebrate Alpine podiums at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix and the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix, creating an informal tradition between the pair.
Alpine managing director Steve Nielsen said the team was “delighted to rely on Diddly Squat Farm to supply us with local farm food this weekend at Silverstone.” He said the partnership also reflected the team’s surroundings at Enstone and its desire to “help promote British farming and highlight the importance of farming to the local area.”
Nielsen added that Alpine’s base is surrounded by farms, saying the team has “full admiration for what farmers do in bringing food to our tables.” He said taking local food to Silverstone was “a special occasion” that would keep “our team and drivers well fed this weekend.”
Lisa Hogan, Clarkson’s partner and Diddly Squat co-founder, called the tie-up “quite special.” She said: “The British Grand Prix is one of the highlights on the British sporting calendar so to have Diddly Squat Farm Shop associated, and to play a small role, with the team this weekend is certainly quite special.”
For Alpine, the partnership gives its home race a distinctly local theme, linking the Silverstone operation back to Enstone while putting British farm produce at the center of the team’s weekend.
